Dickson Thom, DDS, ND has 40+ years of experience as a clinician and over 20 years as a medical professor. He lectures extensively throughout North America and is the author of two books, Coping with Food Intolerances and Unda Numbers: An Energetic Journey to Homeostasis and Wellness.

Dr. Thom has been teaching doctors, students and the lay public in proven medical principles and business skills for over 35 years. His first post-doctoral degree was obtained from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1974. He then received his first Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine in Canada in 1986. In 1989, he completed a second degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. He was the past Dean of Naturopathic Medicine at NCNM and was a full-time professor teaching clinical and physical diagnosis, gastroenterology, X-ray practicum, neurology, and business entrepreneurship for 23 years. He has lectured extensively throughout North America and has written and collaborated on many articles dealing with energy medicines and nutrition.

In 2009, he received a very prestigious honor: “The Vis Award” from the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians for his commitment to the Healing Power of Nature as demonstrated through his work, life, and community service. In addition to being a full-time professor, he had a private practice in Portland, Oregon for 23 years with a primary focus on the management of chronic disease, including autoimmune disease, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal problems, and endocrine disorders. The therapies he utilizes focus on optimal lifestyle choices for each specific condition, including dietary, sleep, and exercise recommendations, supplementation and herbal medicine, a European form of homeopathy called "biotherapeutic drainage", and hydrotherapy.

For the last 5 years he has focused on building The American Center for Biological Medicine, a state-of-the-art clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. ACBM provides exceptional care to all patients of all ages. Health is a reflection of physical, emotional, spiritual, and energetic balance, and Dr. Thom remains committed to helping people overcome obstacles to achieving this essential equilibrium.
