Episode Highlights with John Augspurger

  • Dentistry can be a toxic experience, especially when removing metals, or when infections are involved.

  • Biological dentistry addresses the root of the issue and treats it from a whole-body approach.

  • The gut is addressed in biological dentistry as well.

  • The lymphatic system is an essential component of the extracellular matrix.

  • Near vs. Far Infrared Sauna: Near infrared will result in an endocrine upregulation, akin to being close to the sun.  Far infrared sauna will be more heat and affect the skin, producing sweat/detox.  Utilizing both types is ideal for cleaning the extracellular matrix.

  • “Root canals are the ultimate gangrene,” because it keeps dead tissue within a living body.

  • Chronic inflammation is a large component of an unhealthy mouth.  This can be helped by a diet low in sugar.

  • Dr. Augspurger recommends getting a second and third opinion from dentists regarding whether cavitations are present.

  • It is recommended to get any oral infection/cavitation treated in the same surgical experience.

  • The Human Universal Health Institute is a place patients can come and thoroughly prep before getting required biological dentistry work.  Days or weeks are spent in detox before dental surgery.
